Are you considering a new, more energy-efficient heating or cooling system for your home? Energy costs are rising and many types of systems are on the market, so you have a big decision to make.
Our energy advisors can help Butler County REC members with a FREE home energy audit. Before you purchase a new heating or cooling system, be sure to contact us to schedule your audit. In most cases, the audit will take less than 2 hours to collect the necessary information.
Contact Larry Schultz, energy advisor, to request an energy audit of your home.
Our energy advisors are professionally trained to conduct a complete energy audit of your home. The audit will include an inspection of your home's insulation, doors, windows, furnace, appliances, and lighting.
"Any co-op member with a concern about their energy usage should contact us for a free audit," says Schultz. "We're finding that adding more insulation and less air infiltration along with high-efficiency heat pumps are very effective ways to save energy in a home."
After the audit, you'll receive:
- Recommendations to improve your home's energy efficiency.
- A free packet of items to help you with your efforts to save energy. The packet will include two compact fluorescent lights (CFLs), a reduced-flow showerhead, sink aerator, water heater pipe wrap, outlet gaskets, out plugs, door weather-stripping, and a refrigerator thermometer.
Energy advisors can also answer any question you have about our rebates, incentives, and heating rates for energy-efficient heating systems.
